This I Believe Project

This week we will be working on "This I Believe" Statements. Students will post their work with a recording and pictures.

Hi I'm Trini. I have two girls, and we live in Colorado Springs. What I like most about this city is the places that we can visit and have fun as a family hiking and taking pictures. I'm coming to school after 11 years because I want to be a role model to my youngest daughter. It will be helpful to me because I will learn too, and set my own goals. I want to get my GED.That's why I'm participating in the Family Literacy Program. I know that my baby will learn too, with the help of the teacher and all the information and help that they give to us.

My name is Karla. I'm 34 years old ("still"). I have 2 beautiful kids, and a handsome, and wonderful husband. I have been in Colorado Springs for 11 year already, and I don't speak English very well yet.
My husband is 39 years old, and he is retired from The Air Force. My daughter is 8 years old, and she is attending the 3rd grade at Rudy elem. She likes to play Golf, and she will be a Taekwondo black belt soon. Her name is Roxana.
My 2 years old son's name is Joshua. He is very happy, extremely active, and too lovely.

I love my family.

I started the university 4 years ago, but I didn't finish because my English wasn't good enough.
That is why I decided to start this program because I really need to learn English and be succesful in this Country.

My name is Stacey. After 10 years of being out of school, I have decided to come back to school. I have three little boys and a husband of 10 years. Ive decided to come back to school to show my kids that with hard work and the drive to succeed you can achieve anything. My goals are to score well on my tests so I can go to college to become a physical therapist or a home health care nurse. I hope to gain self-confidence and the knowledge needed to give myself and family a better life.
